Gangotri Dham Portal Now Closed for 2022

Today, on the holy festival of Annakoot, at 12:01 pm, the doors of Shri Gangotri Dham have been closed for winter due to Vedic chanting and rituals. Thousands of devotees witnessed the closure of the doors on this occasion. The Utsav Doli of Mother Ganga left for Mukhba village with ceremonial cheers. Maa Ganga’s night stay will be in Maa Chandi Devi (Markandeya Puri) temple today. Tomorrow, the festival Doli of Mother Ganga will reach her maternal uncle Mukhba (Mukhimath) on the festival of Bhaiya Dooj. In winter, worship will be done in the Ganga temple located in Mukhba, the winter stay of Mother Ganga. During this year, more than 6 lakh 25 thousand devotees had darshan of Maa Ganga.

During the winter Char dham Yatra, devotees can get the benefit of having darshan of the holy mother Ganga at Mukhba temple located in the very beautiful village of Harshil in Uttarkashi. You must come to Uttarakhand to see the Ishta Dev and get a unique experience of traveling to ‘Dev Bhoomi’.
