Dehradun Cloudburst Reported 20th August 2022 : Once again rain has come as havoc in Uttarakhand. Due to the torrential rains late in the night, there has been a lot of destruction due to cloudburst in Raipur, Dehradun. Cloudburst has caused huge destruction in Sarkhet village of Raipur block, along with it the bridge of Saung river has also been broken.

Dehradun Cloudburst Reported at Midnight

According to the information received about cloudburst in Sarkhet village of Raipur block at 2.45 am, local people informed about cloudburst at 2.45 am in Sarkhet village of Raipur block. After which SDRF started the rescue operation. People trapped in the village have also been evacuated safely.

Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport Bridge Broke Down

The bridge of Saung river on the way from Raipur to Jollygrant broke down due to cloudburst, flood-like situation has arisen. People are facing a lot of trouble due to water logging in their homes and fields. Roads have been completely damaged in many places. People took shelter in nearby resorts. The Saung river bridge on the way from Raipur to Jolly Grant has been broken.

Kempty Fall Mussoorie Also Reported Flood

Rain continued in Dehradun and hilly areas since Friday. On Friday, a similar scene was seen in Kempty Falls. There was a danger there due to the sudden rise in the water. After which the police had removed the tourists and shopkeepers. Rain continues in Dehradun on Saturday as well.
