Badrinath Dham has experienced a change in weather once again. After heavy snowfall, the temperature has dropped severely. From last night through this morning, the weather began changing in high altitude areas including Badrinath Dham.

Despite cold and snow in Badrinath Dham, the pilgrims who reached Badrinath had a pleasant experience seeing the snowfall up close. Cold and snow surrounded devotees as they worshiped Lord Badrivishal.

Badrinath Dham Closing Date 2022

Every year in the winter season, the doors are closed due to snowfall in uttarakhand. With this, the annual Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand will come to an end.

On November 19 at 3:35 pm, Lord Badri Vishal’s doors will close. Before then, the snowfall in the temple has created a beautiful sight. We can almost see nature itself decorating Lord Badri Vishal. Radhakrishna Thapliyal, the Dharmadhikari of Badrinath, told that on November 15, the doors of Lord Ganesha will be closed for winter. On November 16, the doors of Adikedareshwar will be closed for winter. The reading of Khadak books will stop on November 17. On November 18, Goddess Lakshmi will be invited On November 19, the doors of Lord Badri Vishal will be closed for the winter. About 20000 devotees are expected to arrive on the occasion of the closure of the doors.

Badrinath Temple Closing Date Ritual Process

The process of closing the doors of Badrinath Dham will start from 4 pm. Abhishek Puja of Lord Badrinath will be done at 6 in the morning. After this, Bal Bhog will be offered at eight in the morning and Bhog will be offered at 12.30 in the afternoon.At four o’clock in the evening, Mata Lakshmi will be invited in the Badrish Panchayat (Badrinath sanctum) and Garuda ji, Uddhav ji and Kuber ji will be brought out of the Badrish Panchayat from the sanctum sanctorum. After evening aarti all religious traditions, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed at 6.45 pm.
