PM Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath on November 5, a day before the pilgrimage closes for winter. PM Modi will start and inaugurate the Kedarpuri reconstruction project, which costs Rs 400 crore.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, chief minister of Uttarakhand, has confirmed that PM Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath next month and lay the foundation stone for the reconstruction of Kedarpuri.

PM has visited Kedarnath many times after becoming prime minister in 2014. Last year, he could not visit the holy shrine due to the pandemic and he has been closely monitoring Kedarpuri reconstruction projects.
The portals of the Kedarnath shrine will close on November 6 on the occasion of Bhai Dooj for the coming winter months.
Char Dham Shrines Closing Dates
Earlier The dates of closing of the portals of the sacred Char Dham shrines for winter months have been announced on Dussehra, following the tradition. The portals of Gangotri will be closed on November 5, whereas the portals of the Badrinath shrine will be closed on November 20. Similarly, Yamunotri and Kedarnath will be closed on November 6.
