Chamoli Cloudburst No Loss of Life Reported

Hemkund Sahib Yatra Stopped due to Chamoli Cloudburst
There was no loss of life and property due to this incident, but as a precaution, passengers going to Hemkund have been stopped for the time being.
There is a red alert of the weather in Uttarakhand, since late night it has been raining continuously from the mountains to the plains of Uttarakhand. In the hilly districts of Uttarakhand, there are reports of continuous heavy rains.
DIG SDRF Ridhim Aggarwal said that according to this latest information being received from Ghangaria of Chamoli district, about 30 to 35 passengers going to Hemkund have been stopped due to safety reasons, although the passengers coming back from Hemkund Sahib can come from Khoda’s new bridge. Apart from this, in view of the heavy rainfall, the water level of the rivers in the downstream is also being continuously monitored and the situation is constantly being monitored.
